These are the "can't miss" sporting events happening in Minneapolis this summer!
Catch a Twins Game
Minnesota summers and outdoor baseball go hand in hand. And with the Twins on top of the AL Central Division, this summer is the best time to head over to Target Field to watch all the baseball action.
Must see games:
June 21 - 23 vs Cleveland Guardians
- Although the Guardians trail the Twins in the standings, a division rivalry is always worth a watch.
July 12 - 13 vs Milwaukee Brewers
- Everyone loves a classic border battle. The Minnesota/Wisconsin rivalry gets real whenever the Brewers come to town.
July 14 - 13 vs Chicago White Sox
- The White Sox are chasing the Twins for the AL Division's top spot, which should make for a competitive series.
August 4 - 7 vs Toronto Blue Jays
- As one of the top contending teams in the American league, the Blue Jays will be a fun match-up for the Twins.
Cheer on the Lynx
The Minnesota Lynx are trying to climb back into playoff contention this summer, especially after last year's early second round playoff exit. It's also fan favorite Sylvia Fowles good-bye tour, as the 2x champ has announced she will retire after this year.

June 23 vs. Phoenix Mercury
- Come out and see Diana Taurasi, one of the league's top players take on the Lynx.
July 1 & 3 vs. Las Vegas Aces
- The number one team in the league currently and head coaching debut for former WNBA player Becky Hammond is sure to bring a crowd.
July 6 vs. Chicago Sky
- The defending champs come to town, they also were the team that booted the Lynx out of the playoffs last year, which always makes for a good revenge plot. This is a afternoon game and will be great for the kids!
July 31 vs Los Angles Sparks
- Everyone loves a good "Beat LA" chant, make your way down to Target Center and get one started again the Sparks.
August 12 vs. Seattle Storm
- Who doesn't love the chance to watch one of the all-time greats, Sue Bird? And with this being her 21 season, this may be one of the last opportunities to do so.

- In this international friendly, the United will host some friends from across the pond. England's Premiere league team, Everton brings their historied football club to Allianz Field.
September 3 vs. Dallas
- Dallas is one of the top teams in the MLS and should make for a competitive match.
USA Fencing National Championships
This is the largest fencing tournament in the world and will feature more than 5,000 competitors from nearly all 50 states competing in more than 100 events over 10 days. Best of all there is no admission fee, just come to the Minneapolis Convention Center and enjoy the event!
