Best brew food in Minneapolis
Known as a Minnesota staple for their beer, Surly is making a name for themselves in the food scene. They have a full restaurant in their beer hall, serving a variety of snacks to share as well as entrees in a more casual setting. Their BBQ is killer and their burger does not disappoint. For something lighter but still large on flavor, try the farro salad or roasted brussels sprouts. Bring your kids and your pets and enjoy their spacious outdoor patio, complete with games and fire pits. 520 Malcolm Ave SE, Minneapolis
Fulton now welcomes the Fulton Taproom Kitchen! No need to worry, they didn't squeeze a kitchen into their taproom, they drove one in and parked it out front! It’s not exactly a food truck, but it’s certainly not a restaurant either. It will be a permanent fixture (no, not up on blocks) in front of their North Loop brewery, in the same place where food trucks have been parking since the day they opened the taproom in 2012. 414 6th Ave. N Minneapolis, MN 55401
Day Block is one of the few breweries in the downtown metro offering food, beer and a full-service bar. You’ll find pizza, sandwiches, salads and a variety of bar snacks. But this isn’t your typical bar food. Almost all of their ingredients are locally produced and their food is made from scratch. You won’t just find your typical cheese or pepperoni pizza, they offer Bahn Mizza, Taco Truck and Leviathan among others. Their salads are fresh and full of flavor. You can even build your own if that’s more your style. If you’re looking for something different and unique, try their bacon and pickle flights. Pair with a beer and you are set! 1105 S Washington Ave, Minneapolis
Urban Growler is one of the only female owned breweries in the metro area. They offer a variety of snacks, entrees, burgers, soups and salads. They use local ingredients and everything is prepared fresh. Gluten free or vegan? Just let your server know! They’re willing to meet your dietary needs as best they can. Also make sure to ask about their specials. Each month they have a new lunch, dinner and dessert special. If you’re stopping by on a Friday, don’t pass up their fish fry. Pair with their cornerstone brew, the Midwest IPA, for the ultimate flavor combination. 2325 Endicott St, St Paul
Calling all picky eaters, wine drinkers and dinner spot decision makers! Town Hall Brewery is your new Friday night destination! With their extensive menu and wide variety of options, Town Hall Brewery has something for everyone. Choose from burgers, brats, sandwiches, pasta and more. They even offer cocktails and wine. It’s classic pub fare with a twist, and it’s sure to please everyone! 1430 S Washington Ave, Minneapolis
While Northbound Smokehouse is known for their amazing protein-packed offerings such as brisket, fish fry, burgers, wings and their amazing house-smoked fish platter, they have a number of delicious vegetarian options as well. Try their wild rice burger, beet and walnut salad or chipotle hummus. Also be sure to try their brunch menu, which puts a morning twist on some of their classic mouth-watering dishes. 2716 E 38th St, Minneapolis
Hungry but not quite sure what you’re in the mood for? Head to Rock Bottom Brewery! With a large menu and a variety of snacks and entrees, Rock Bottom will always hit the spot. Choose from tacos, burgers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, steak, seafood, and the list goes on! Share some appetizers, grab a burger or enjoy a three course meal. If you need a beer pairing, just ask! They are happy to give tips and suggestions. LaSalle Plaza, 825 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis
Freehouse crafts their beer with the dining experience in mind, making it the perfect spot for dinner and a drink. Their beers aren’t too heavy or filling and they work to complement the flavors in their dishes. They’re truly focused on quality with four core beers that are available year round, and a few seasonals and specialities. If you’re more of a morning person, don’t worry, they have brunch too! They also have a kids menu, so bring the whole family. 701 N Washington Ave #101, Minneapolis
BREWERIES WITH FOOD TRUCKS
