Wookiefoot
Wookiefoot turns its Minneapolis roots into a spirited, genre-hopping sound, moving between reggae, hip-hop, folk, rock, funk and world beat. The band’s identity extends beyond music: it supports charitable causes and hosts the Shangri-La Festival, a gathering in southern Minnesota. Albums such as Be Fearless and Play, Ready or Not, and Writing on the Wall trace its long-running, community-minded approach; “Happy to Be Here” is a standout from the latter.
