Truckin’: An All-Star Salute to The Grateful Dead is a band of not only the best players in the area but of musicians who love the music with a passion. Guitarist and singer Chris Castino and drummer Terry Van De Walker are founding members of Minnesota’s most famous jamband The Big Wu. Both have driven many Dead projects over their careers and Chris considers Jerry Garcia to be a huge influence on his style. Bassist Chad Whitaker is a true Deadhead and directs many projects; either playing Grateful Dead or his own band The Kung Fu Hippies. JT Bates is a premier jazz drummer in the region and is a proud fan of the music. Just like The Dead, this project features two drummers and a “Donna” female voice.
