The Tubs

Cardiff band The Tubs give bright, ringing guitar pop a sharper emotional edge, pairing catchy jangle with candid, sometimes dark lyrics and traces of British folk and post-punk. Singer and guitarist Owen Williams and drummer Taylor Stewart previously played in the Welsh band Joanna Gruesome. The Tubs’ acclaimed debut, Dead Meat, introduced their energetic guitar sound; its follow-up, Cotton Crown, takes a more personal turn while keeping the band’s melodic hooks front and center.
