"The Last Entry": Film Screening
In 1932, a few lucky audiences attended the glittering premiere of The Last Entry, a crime thriller which won an international award for an amateur film. Unlike other films of this genre such as Sherlock Holmes or The Phantom of Crestwood, this film was shot on location in Minnesota using local talent and directed by a local amateur filmmaker.
Join Minnesota Historical Society Curator, Jennifer Huebscher, for a screening of this 16mm treasure directed by James Ford Bell, Jr., who would later become the CEO of the Red Owl supermarket chain, and lighting handled by his brother Charles, later the CEO of General Mills.
