Shabby Road Orchestra Performs The Beatles’ Let it Be
Let it Be, the iconic, career-capping Beatles album whose creation was recently captured in the eight-hour, three-part Disney + documentary Get Back, is a day-brightening collection of songs including The Long and Winding Road, Get Back, I Dig a Pony, and Two of Us. As the Beatles’ 12th and final release, it holds a special place in the hearts of Beatles fans everywhere. On July 30 and 31 The Shabby Road Orchestra will play Let it Be from start to finish, followed by a second set of music drawing on the band’s remarkable final six albums. Not to be missed!
While many bands pay tribute the Beatles’ early “Fab Four” songwriting period, The Shabby Road Orchestra is a 12-piece rock band known for its head-turning performances of late-period Beatles recordings only. In other words, they specialize in the challenging, beloved music recorded by the band in the final six albums of their career, and play them with original instruments, note for note. “We do not even know how to play ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand,’” as they will tell you. “But if you want to hear Penny Lane like you’ve never heard it before, you are in for a treat.”
