REZN
On Cycles in the Infinite Dream, Chicago quartet REZN steer crushing doom-metal riffs through psychedelic atmosphere, saxophone and synth textures, with soaring, delay-soaked vocals adding a melodic thread to the weight. The band’s evolving sound also comes into focus across Chaotic Divine, Solace and Burden; the latter two were conceived as companion albums, contrasting light and dark. Their 2023 collaboration Silent Future paired them with Mexican band Vinnum Sabbathi for a sprawling instrumental exploration.
