Pokey LaFarge
Pokey LaFarge gives early American roots music a lively, personal edge, moving through country blues, ragtime, early jazz and Western swing with a songwriter’s touch. The St. Louis-born musician broke through with albums including Riverboat Soul and Middle of Everywhere, both recognized as Best Americana Album by the Independent Music Awards. Jack White later signed him to Third Man Records and featured him on the album Blunderbuss; LaFarge also performed “Lovesick Blues” for HBO’s "Boardwalk Empire" soundtrack.
