Minnesota Orchestra - Bethoven x Beyonce

The Minnesota Orchestra brings a classical-meets-pop production to the stage, pairing Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 with Beyoncé’s catalog in a concert conceived by conductor and arranger Steve Hackman. The program reworks songs including “Crazy in Love,” “Single Ladies” and “Halo,” setting familiar pop material within a symphonic framework. The orchestra, whose recording of Sibelius’s Symphonies Nos. 1 and 4 won a 2014 Grammy for Best Orchestral Performance, takes on a strikingly different musical pairing here.
