Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy

Actor Michael Shannon and musician Jason Narducy team up with a band of longtime collaborators for a celebration of R.E.M.’s Document, performed in full for the album’s 40th anniversary. The 1987 record marked a major breakthrough for the Athens, Georgia, group, pairing its jangling guitars and oblique lyrics with the politically charged “The One I Love” and “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine).” The set also reaches beyond the album to other R.E.M. favorites.
