Hot Freaks
“Puppy Princess” spent years as a little-known song before its TikTok-fueled viral revival brought Minneapolis indie-pop band Hot Freaks back together. The group pairs bright, danceable pop with wistful, often playful songwriting—a contrast heard in early favorites like “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” and the newer “Let’s Start a Country.” Their 2026 album Soft Body marks a return that gathers newly written songs alongside material from the band’s earlier years.
