The Minneapolis Holiday Boutique will be at U.S. Bank Stadium Friday, November 8 – Sunday, November 10, 2019. Stroll through the festival of neatly decorated trees, dazzled up with lights and available for sale via silent auction. Get ready to shop local boutiques, seasonal delights, stunning art pieces, craft vendors and more. Hey ladies! Friday night from 5 – 9pm it’s ladies night out! Enjoy music, drinks and prizes!
This highly anticipated annual holiday festival is back Thursdays through Sundays, November 29 – December 22, 2019. Walk the path and enjoy holiday lights and decorations, local food vendors, and artisan goods. Then warm up with a hot chocolate or cider, or head to the beer tent to grab a Fulton brew!
On Saturday, November 30, 2019, 50th & France will celebrate local businesses and holiday festivities at their Small Business Saturday event including a Tree Lighting Ceremony and Winter Market. Shop for gifts and specialty items from local vendors while the kiddos are entertained by College Nannies! They can make snow globes, paint reindeers, play games, make holiday cards and decorate cookies while you peruse artisan shops. Afterwards, listen to holiday carolers and let the little ones visit with Santa. The official tree lighting will be at 5pm.
See the sparkle of the lights at the fourth annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 6, 2019. The event will begin at 6:00pm. Enjoy complimentary entertainment and holiday activities. At 6:30pm, head outside for the official tree lighting celebration followed by a fireworks display. Afterwards, stick around for the holiday movie night – they’re playing not one but TWO great holiday movies - Elf followed by Polar Express!
The CSE Winter Light Show is a student-designed 3D outdoor experience at the Civil Engineering Building featuring more than 250,000 LED lights set to music written and recorded by University of Minnesota students. Now in its ninth year, the CSE Winter Light Show has become an annual campus tradition. This year's show features new light installations, including two new signs, 10 two-foot lighted snowflakes, several lighted trees, and new music. Shows are Thursday, December 5, Friday, December 6, Saturday, December 7, and Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 5:30, 6, and 6:30 p.m. The show will last about 20 minutes.
The European Christmas Market in St. Paul is a free event based on the traditional, charming, and festive open-air Christkindlmarkts that spring up in Germany, Austria, and other countries during the Advent season. Shop for unique, handmade holiday gifts and decorations from local vendors, drink Glühwein (spiced mulled wine), and taste European inspired food and delicacies during the first three weekends in December.
