Harlem Globetrotters
A century after their founding, the Harlem Globetrotters bring their Rivalry Tour to Minneapolis, pairing basketball skill with the playful showmanship that made the team a global phenomenon. The Globetrotters helped popularize the fast break, slam dunk and figure-eight weave, while their 1948 and 1949 victories over the world-champion Minneapolis Lakers remain a notable chapter in local basketball history. The Target Center game marks a return to a city closely tied to that legacy.
