Funk Fridays are in full swing with TH3 back at Animales. Expect deep-pocket grooves, playful improvisation, and plenty of ’70s-inspired funk from a trio that knows how to lock in and lift the whole room. Bring your dancing shoes. This one might get funky.

TH3 (tee-aitch-three) is a Minneapolis-based funk trio featuring Jeff Ham on guitar, Grant Eull on bass, and Randy Kramer on drums, percussion, and samples. The group draws deep inspiration from seminal ’70s funk icons like The Meters, Funkadelic, Cymande, and The Average White Band, while channeling the spirit of modern groove innovators such as 5ive Style and The Brand New Heavies. Known for welcoming musicians to the stage, TH3 lays down a tight, dynamic trio groove with an irresistible foundation that gives their collaborators room to explore, improvise, and cut loose. Every show delivers deep-pocket grooves, infectious rhythms, and ego-free musicianship that keeps the focus squarely on the collective funky vibe. Bring your dancing shoes and jump into the funk—TH3 is ready to lift the room.
