Flip the Script Queer Film Festival
The 4th Flip the Script Fest (FSF) returns this October 6–14th, 2023. Held annually, FSF is a nine-day film festival celebrating Queer stories from 2SLGBTQIA+ filmmakers all over the globe.
FSF is a hybrid festival with in-person screenings taking place October 6–8th, at Emagine Willow Creek Theatre (9900 Shelard Parkway, Plymouth, MN, 55441) and LUSH Lounge & Theater (990 Central Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413), and with virtual access October 6–14th, through Eventive.
Films programmed through submissions are eligible to win The Michael Alonga Award for Audience Choice Film, aka The Daphnes. Based on audience votes, one short film will receive a $500 cash prize, and one feature film will receive a $1,500 cash prize.
The Daphnes are generously sponsored by WE WERE THERE, INC, a registered 501(c)(3), whose mission is the preservation and dissemination of LGBTQ+ history through multi-platform storytelling, with the goal of educating and empowering LGBTQ+ youth.
All Access Passes are on sale now for $100, with a $200 Pay-It-Forward Pass offered to those interested in directly supporting the festival’s ability to offer Pay-What-You-Can tickets for others.
