Northern Spark: The Basics
When is Northern Spark?
Friday, June 14th from 9:00pm-2am
Saturday, June 15th from 9:00pm-2am
1) The Commons
2) American Indian Cultural Corridor on Franklin Ave. outside and inside All My Relations Gallery and Franklin Library
3) Saint Paul’s historic Rondo neighborhood, outside and inside the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center
Tens of thousands of people gather after sunset to explore giant video projections, play in temporary installations and enjoy experimental performances in common spaces. This year’s theme of "We Are Here" celebrates just a few of the neighborhoods in our cities that are home to people, cultures, and livelihoods that have stayed resilient in the face of erasure, genocide, and fractures between nature and each other. These beloved communities continue to rise as they renew and regenerate themselves. For more information about Northern Spark, head to their website.
