Eivor
Faroese singer-songwriter Eivør turns the folk traditions of her North Atlantic home into music that can shift from classical, cinematic arrangements to electronic beats and raw, guttural vocals. Her voice helped shape the sound of the television series The Last Kingdom and the God of War games; her own work includes the Faroese-language album Slør and the atmospheric ENN. On tracks such as “Trøllabundin,” traditional textures meet a strikingly modern, sometimes intense edge.
