Savannah Bananas are Coming to Target Field: Your Guide to Parking, Transit & Food in Minneapolis
Banana Ball is coming to Target Field August 7-9, 2026! The Savannah Bananas are known for their family-friendly and fun-loving games, including fans catching foul balls for outs, batters stealing first base, choreographed dance routines, and more. We've gathered all the essentials, like how to get to Target Field, where to park, and the top restaurants nearby, so you can focus on the fun!

Transportation to Target Field
With our compact downtown, navigating to and from Target Field is simple. It's walkable, and has public transit that will get you to the ballpark with ease.
Note: Arrive downtown early - traffic will be heavy due to overlapping Lynx games, street closures for pregame activities, and planned road construction. More information about pregame events is coming soon!
Metro Bus Routes
- From the north: METRO C Line, METRO D Line, 5, 14, 22
- From the east: 94
- From the south: 5, 14, 22
Save time and get an All Day Pass, valid for unlimited local bus and light rail rides from time of purchase through 2am the next day.
The Light Rail
The METRO Green Line connects downtown St. Paul to downtown Minneapolis, stops right by Target Field. The METRO Blue Line is currently under construction, but is supplemented by bus service, which runs from the Mall of America to Target Field.
Parking
There are a variety of public and private parking ramps near Target Field and metered street parking is available, but limited. Find a list of all parking options at mplsparking.com or reserve a parking spot ahead of time.
Traffic Alert
Starting February 22 and continuing through November 2026, MnDOT will continue maintenance and repair work on I-94 and I-394 bridges and ramps between downtown Minneapolis and Highway 100 in Golden Valley. Visit the MnDOT project page for traffic impacts and complete project information. Fans are encouraged to plan ahead, arrive early and explore all available transportation options.
Target Field Information
Getting into Target Field
Your ticket will suggest a gate to enter through that's closest to your seats. There are five main gate entrances at Target Field, each on the main level. Each gate is wheelchair-accessible. The largest gate is Gate #34, named in honor of Kirby Puckett, located on Target Plaza. There is a Skyway Ramp connection to the Club Level at Target Field from Ramp A.
Target Field Bag Policy
Single-compartment bags (maximum size of 16”x16”x8”) are allowed into Target Field. These include purses, clutch purses, single-compartment tote bags, clear bags, drawstring bags, diaper bags, single-compartment soft-sided coolers, fanny packs and bags containing medically necessary items. Backpacks, multi-compartment laptop bags, duffel bags or any bags over the size requirement are not allowed into the ballpark.
Prohibited bags may be securely stored at no charge during Twins home games. The bag storage area is located near Gate 6 and Target Field Station. Please note, all bags will be searched prior to being stored.
