#3 Hell's Kitchen
#3 of 52 Must See Things in Minneapolis
An iconic Minneapolis brunch spot, Hell’s Kitchen is the place to be during brunch hours downtown. With live music, a build-your-own bloody mary and mimosa bar, and their signature homemade peanut butter, what’s not to love?
Take the stairs underground and enter the fiery depths of Hell’s Kitchen! Located in the basement of a building, the restaurant has unique décor and a rock n’ roll vibe. They have two dining areas, one located near the stage and one in the back of the restaurant. Feeling thirsty? Check out their bloody mary and mimosa bars! Choose from a number of fixings like chicken and waffles, cheese sticks, fruit, muffins and even more. But the food is what makes Hell’s Kitchen an icon. Almost everything is made from scratch and the award-winning chef, Steve Meyer, works hard to bring you quality food in a laid-back and welcoming setting. Try one of their Minnesota favorites like the lemon ricotta hotcakes or the Mahnomen Porridge. Make sure to get a side of toast so you can experience the bliss that is their homemade peanut butter and jam. If you like what you taste, pick up a jar to take home with you!
On your way out, stop by Angel Food Bakery, located right next to the stairs leading to Hell’s Kitchen. They have cakes, donuts, cupcakes, cookies and more! Check out their peanut butter cup cupcakes, made with Hell’s Kitchen homemade peanut butter. If you missed out on bacon at brunch, now is your chance. Try their maple bacon donut! If you had a little too much bacon at brunch, sample some of their mini donuts. They even have a number of gluten free, dairy free, vegan and egg free options.
