Women United to host 7th annual Flight of Fashion benefit on November 3rd

Fashion meets philanthropy in the Twin Cities’ most meaningful fashion show featuring Stylist Grant Whittaker
Minneapolis, Minn. (Oct. 26, 2016) - Greater Twin Cities United Way’s Women United is hosting the 7th annual Flight of Fashion benefit event on Thursday, Nov. 3 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Aria, 105 N. 1st St., Minneapolis. This year’s theme is The Unstoppable Collection, referencing women’s ability to have a significant impact on their community via donating and volunteering. Guests can expect to see the latest fashions as well as hear inspiring stories of strength and kindness from women in our community.
Women United Flight of Fashion will be produced by Minneapolis-based style expert Grant Whittaker, who will also emcee the show that features CEOs and recipients of some of United Way’s agency partners. As always, 100% of the proceeds of this signature stylish event fund Women United programs that support school success for children and financial stability for women. Since 2005, Women United has invested $6.2 million in programs that improve the lives of local women and children. In 2014, Women United invested $738,000 in school success programs and financial stability programs for women in the Twin Cities, which benefited more than 22,000 children and helped 125 women secure jobs via innovative job skills training.
The event is open to anyone who is interested in networking and learning how they can become a part of Women United, however, tickets are limited.
