Wolves Announce Local Broadcast Schedule for 2011-12 Season
Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn. (Dec. 9, 2011) The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the teams local regular season broadcast schedule for 2011-12. All 66 regular season and both preseason games can be heard on the radio home of the Wolves, News Radio 830 WCCO-AM, while FOX Sports North will carry 50 regular season and both preseason games on its cable and satellite package.
This year marks the Wolves first on their new flagship station, News Radio 830 WCCO-AM. Alan Horton returns for his fourth season as Wolves play-by-play man. Horton will team up with studio host John Focke to produce 30-minute pre- and post-game shows that will be featured on-air and streamed on-line at www.wcco.com prior to and following all games.
The 50-game regular season FOX Sports North schedule for 2011-12 includes 27 Target Center dates and 23 telecasts from the road, all of which will be available in HD. The Wolves regular season television schedule begins with the season opener on Monday, Dec. 26 vs. Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder at Target Center starting at 7:00 p.m. Tom Hanneman and Jim Petersen return for their 23rd and 14th season respectively on the Wolves broadcast team, while Robby Incmikoski begins his third season as Wolves sideline reporter for FSN North.
Fox Sports North will also air Wolves Live before and after every telecast, as well as Wolves Weekly, a half-hour weekly show featuring items and stories about Timberwolves players and coaches. Wolves Weekly will debut on the network Sunday, Dec. 25.
