Wolves 2013-14 Season Membership Renewal Update
One Week Remaining for Season Ticket Members to Secure Seats; Renewal Incentives Include: ipad mini mania & $10,000 Grand Prize
Minneapolis/St. Paul With a week remaining for the Minnesota Timberwolves 2013-14 season ticket membership renewal campaign, more than 50% of current Wolves ticket members have taken advantage of the increased membership benefits and tremendous ticket values by securing their seats for next season. Timberwolves season ticket memberships have always been among the sports industrys best in terms of benefits, values and fan engagement.
Were extremely pleased with the solid pace of our renewals for season ticket memberships, said Timberwolves President Chris Wright. Traditionally, as the deadline approaches, our renewal rate climbs as our members want to guarantee that they secure their seats for next year. Despite our team being depleted by injuries this year which have resulted in on-court struggles, we truly believe our memberships provide one of the best value propositions in all of professional sports. And, from listening to our fans every day, they feel the same way, too.
In an effort to incentivize those remaining season ticket members to re-join for next season, today the Timberwolves announced ipad mini mania, in which a drawing will be held each day from now until the renewal deadline of Feb. 18 with one lucky Wolves ticket member that renews winning an ipad mini. ipad mini mania continues the Wolves trend of rewarding those season ticket members that renew their memberships. Since the 2013-14 renewal campaign launched on Jan. 17, one lucky season ticket member who has renewed his/her seats - has won $500 at each of the teams home games. A grand prize of $10,000 will be given away at the Feb. 20 game vs. Philadelphia.
This year, the Timberwolves have introduced new season ticket membership levels that deliver a greater variety of exclusive benefits, perks and programs on a year-round, 365-day basis; ticket pricing that remains one of the most affordable in the NBA and all of professional sports; and a 10% playoff refund that allows season ticket members to receive a 10% refund if the Wolves do not qualify for the NBA Playoffs this year.
For the 2012-13 NBA season, the Timberwolves have a season ticket member base of approximately 10,000 FSEs (full season equivalents), which is the largest member base since 2004-05. The Wolves are one of only two teams in the league to have sold more than 2,000 new season memberships in each of the last three seasons.
