WILD ON THE WATER BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT RAISES $30,000

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild Players Team presented by Minn Kota and Humminbird and captained by Jason Zucker and Laura Schara won the event and have chosen the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital to receive $5,000. The Minnesota Alumni Team presented by Jack Daniel's and captained by Keith Ballard and Bill Sherck have chosen the Confidence Learning Center to receive $2,500. The Minnesota Wild Coaches Team presented by West Bend Insurance and captained by Bruce Boudreau and Ron Schara selected the Wounded Warriors Project to receive $2,500. The Minnesota Wild Foundation will receive the remaining proceeds.
Fishing guide Matt Peters, Minnesota Wild player Kyle Rau and Tony Swensen (pictured above) won the individual boat contest catching three smallmouth bass that weighed a total of 13.32 lbs. The event was held at Izatys Resort on Mille Lacs Lake and featured a VIP event on July 14 followed by a fishing tournament and a free Bash on the Beach event on July 15.
