Wild Amateur Scout Brian Fortin Retires
MINNESOTA WILD AMATEUR SCOUT BRIAN FORTIN RETIRES
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the retirement of amateur scout Brian Fortin.
"We would like to thank Brian for all the hard work and long hours he spent scouting for the Minnesota Wild," said Chuck Fletcher. "We wish Brian and his wife, Bridget, all the best in retirement."
Fortin served as a part-time amateur scout for the organization for nine seasons scouting the Western Hockey League (WHL) and Tier-2 leagues in Western Canada. Prior to joining the Wild, he spent 20 seasons with the WHL's Kamloops Blazers serving in a variety of roles including a scout, director of hockey operations and general manager.
