Unwrap a New Family Tradition at MNHS Historic Sites and Museums This Season
As winter embraces Minnesota, visitors can warm up with a variety of holiday programs all season long at MNHS historic sites and museums.
New this year at the Minnesota History Center, between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, journey on a storybook adventure through the pages of MNHS Press’ “North Woods Girl” or stop by on Holiday Saturdays to enjoy a festive atmosphere with community music and crafts. And don’t forget to catch the “Gridiron Glory” exhibit before it closes on January 15. The History Center offers special holiday hours and is open Monday, December 26 and New Year’s Day. Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, visitors to the James J. Hill House can delve into Summit Avenue holiday history on daily tours this year or at performances of the annual Hill House Holidays program. Families can also enjoy seasonal favorites like A Victorian Christmas at the Ramsey House, Christmas in the Logging Camp Family Day at the Forest History Center and “An Eventually Christmas: Holiday at the Mill” at Mill City Museum.
