Volunteers Needed for National Senior Games

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Organizers Seek 2,500 Minnesotans to Donate Time to
Make Multi-Sport Event a Success
Minneapolis --- The organizers of the 2015 National Senior Games presented by Humana, the largest multi-sport event in the world for senior (50+) athletes to be held across the metro area this summer, are seeking approximately 2,500 volunteers.
The Games will take place July 3 16, 2015 at 18 venues throughout Bloomington, Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minn. An estimated 10,000 athletes will compete in 19 individual and three demonstration sports. More than 30,000 spectators and guests are expected to attend.
Minnesotans are asked to sign up for two or more of the hundreds of volunteer shifts that need to be filled to make the event a success. The public is encouraged to register for one or more of a variety of volunteer opportunities, including:
- Athlete Registration
- Athlete Village
- Airport Ambassador and Greeter
- Sport/Competition
- Hotel Information Station
- Hospitality
- Awards Distribution Station
- Sports Information Station
- Volunteer Check-In
- VIP Events
No experience is necessary. Training will be provided. Snacks, beverages and 2015 National Senior Games apparel will be provided. Volunteers are asked to register for a minimum of two four-hour shifts over the course of the Games.

The National Senior Games Association (NSGA) is a nonprofit member of the United States Olympic Committee that promotes health and wellness for adults 50 and over through education, fitness and sport.
