U.S. BANK STADIUM WILL BECOME THE FIRST PROFESSIONAL SPORTS STADIUM TO EARN LEED PLATINUM USING THE ARC PERFORMANCE PLATFORM
WHAT:
U.S. Bank Stadium has become the first professional sports stadium to earn Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum designation using the Arc performance platform. This certification is the highest rating level offered through the LEED program for sustainability achievement by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Mahesh Ramanujam, President and CEO of USGBC, will speak on the importance of this certification. Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority (MSFA) Chair, Michael Vekich, and U.S. Bank Stadium/SMG Representatives will also discuss the daily operations that led to this achievement.
This LEED Platinum certification for U.S. Bank Stadium recognizes achievements in sustainability for the ongoing, daily operations of U.S. Bank Stadium. In 2017, U.S. Bank Stadium earned LEED Gold for Building Design and Construction (BD+C).
