This year, National Running Day takes on a special significance after the tragedy in Boston, Twin Cities In Motion Executive Director Virginia Brophy Achman said. In the aftermath of Boston, weve seen runners recommit themselves to their sport and use the activity they love to support those affected by the event. National Running Day, no matter how its celebrated, is a great way to say that runners will not be deterred from the activity they love.
