Twin Cities In Motion Renews Partnership with Brooks Running Company
Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Expo to Feature New Joint Merchandise Space
St. Paul, Minn. – August 10, 2016 – Twin Cities In Motion (TCM) and Brooks Running Company have agreed to renew their partnership, linking through 2018 the organizers of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, a top-ten U.S. Marathon, and the country’s premier running footwear and apparel brand.
Under the agreement, which extends a partnership established in 2005, Twin Cities In Motion’s signature events – the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Weekend races, the Medtronic TC 1 Mile, and the Red, White & Boom! TC Half Marathon, Relay & 5K – will feature Brooks finisher or participant shirts. New in 2016, TCM and Brooks will operate a joint merchandise space at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Health & Fitness Expo.
“We are pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with Brooks,” Twin Cities In Motion executive director Virginia Brophy Achman said. “We’re glad to align our organization and our events with a top-quality brand like Brooks. We’re eager to implement new initiatives together, including the joint merchandise space launching this year.”
As part of the continued partnership, Brooks will bring Run Signature – its holistic biomechanics and shoe fitting philosophy – to the Health & Fitness Expo to give runners insight into how their bodies move and empower them to choose shoes that give them the running experiences they crave. Other facets of the partnership include expert sports bra fitting using Brooks’ industry-leading fit method and bra styles, an evolution of Brooks licensed apparel offerings and shopping experience and more.
“TCM has been one of our premier partners for years and continuing to bring Run Happy to those who run their races is an exciting opportunity for us,” Brooks Senior Manager, U.S. Marketing Matt Weiss said.
