Minneapolis/St. Paul As Spanish sensation and Minnesota Timberwolves rookie point guard Ricky Rubio continues to impress in his first tour of the NBA, the team continued its commitment to reach out to its fans in the Latino community by today unveiling a Spanish-language page on www.timberwolves.com and announcing two upcoming Spanish Heritage Nights. Today's announcement coincides with last week's announcement of a 12-game Spanish-language broadcast schedule on La Mera Buena FM 107.5.

"On the heels of the recent announcement of our renewed partnership with La Mera Buena, we're excited to continue our extended outreach into the Latino community with these two new initiatives," said Ted Johnson, Timberwolves Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Chief Marketing Officer. "With the popularity of both Ricky and J.J. Barea, our Spanish-language page will serve as a great resource for our fans in the Latino community to follow the Wolves and their two favorite stars. We're also pleased to honor the Spanish culture by highlighting the many talented Latino performers in the Twin Cities community during our Spanish Heritage Nights."

The Spanish-only page - timberwolves.com/espanol - will be devoted to coverage of Rubio and José Juan Barea as each plays their first season in a Timberwolves uniform. The site will feature regular content updates from Wolves Spanish radio announcer Alfonzo Fernandez, as he provides an inside look into the two Wolves guards with both video and written features."

Furthermore, the Wolves also announced the two dates for this year's Spanish Heritage Nights. The first of two Spanish Heritage Nights will be Wednesday, Feb. 15 vs. Charlotte. In-game elements will include pre-game and halftime entertainment from Latino performance groups and music from some of the world's biggest Latin stars. The second Spanish Heritage Night is scheduled for Wednesday, April 4 vs. Golden State. Fans can purchase tickets for these games by logging on to www.timberwolves.com.
