Minneapolis/St. Paul (Dec. 7, 2011) The Minnesota Timberwolves will tip off their 23rd regular season in the NBA by hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26 at Target Center. Single-game tickets will go on sale on Monday, Dec. 12 at 10:00 a.m. and Wolves fans will once again have the ultimate flexibility to customize their own multi-game ticket package for the 2011-12 season.

The Timberwolves will open the 2011-12 season with six of their first seven games at Target Center, including a five-game homestand highlighted by visits from LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat (Dec. 30), the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks (Jan. 1) and the San Antonio Spurs (Jan. 2). Other notable home games include two trips to Target Center from the Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers (Jan. 29 and March 9) and visits from Kevin Garnett's Boston Celtics (March 30) and 2011 NBA MVP Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls (Jan 10). Eastern Conference opponents Atlanta, Milwaukee, New Jersey, Orlando, Toronto and Washington will not visit Target Center this season.

The Wolves will play six nationally-televised games this season, most since the 2005-06 campaign, including two home contests: March 10 vs. New Orleans on NBA TV, and April 9 vs. Phoenix on ESPN2.

Beginning Monday, individual tickets for all 33 home games will be available for purchase at www.timberwolves.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, as well as by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX or by visiting the Target Center Box Office.

Back by popular demand for the 2011-12 season, fans will once again have the opportunity to create their own multi-game ticket package at the prices they want. Through the 10-Game Flex Pack, fans can build a personalized ticket package by selecting 10 or more games of their choice, with the flexibility to change seat location, number of tickets per game and price point based on the matchup. Starting as low as $80, the 10-Game Flex Pack offers a significant savings off of single games prices. For a limited time, fans can purchase 10 games and get complimentary tickets to the Dec. 30 Miami Heat game.

First introduced last March, dynamic pricing returns for the 2011-12 season. Featured exclusively on a Wolves Tix page on timberwolves.com, dynamic pricing for single-game tickets will start with the Wolves home opener on Dec. 26 vs. Oklahoma City and continue throughout the season. With dynamic pricing, the price of single-game tickets may change (up or down) based on a variety of factors such as: league standings, opponent, real-time sales, ticket availability, day of the week, etc. Dynamic pricing empowers Wolves fans to customize their purchase based on their preferences by providing more options in their ticket purchasing and ticket prices that better reflect actual market value.

By month, the schedule breaks down as follows: December (2 home, 1 away = 3 total), January (10 home, 8 away = 18 total), February (8 home, 6 away = 14 total), March (6 home, 11 away = 17 total), April (7 home, 7 away = 14 total).

By day, the schedule breaks down as follows: Monday (6 home, 8 away = 14 total), Tuesday (3 home, 3 away = 6 total), Wednesday (7 home, 6 away = 13 total), Thursday (2 home, 3 away = 5 total), Friday (6 home, 6 away = 12 total), Saturday (4 home, 4 away = 8 total), Sunday (5 home, 3 away = 8 total).

The Wolves enjoy one five-game homestand (Dec. 30-Jan. 6), one four-game homestand (March 5-10) and one three-game homestand (Feb. 1-7).

Minnesota has one seven-game road trip: March 12-23 (PHO, UTAH, LAL, SAC, GS, SAN, OKC); and one four-game road stint: Feb. 28-March 3 (LAC, LAL, PHO, POR). Minnesotas seven-game trip equals the longest road stretch in team history (1997-98: 3/23-4/5). The Wolves do not have a three-game road trip.

Minnesota will play on national television six times this season, most since the 2005-06 campaign: Four times on NBA TV (2/13 at ORL, 3/3 at POR, 3/10 vs. NO, 4/1 at POR), and once each on ESPN (1/20 at LAC) and ESPN2 (4/9 vs. PHO).

The Wolves will play two sets of back-to-back-to-back games: Jan. 8-10 (at WAS, at TOR, vs. CHI); Feb. 28-March 1 (at LAC, at LAL, at PHO). Their last back-to-back-to-back set was in the lockout-shortened 1998-99 season (April 14, 15, 16; played three back-to-back-to-back sets that year). Minnesota will play 16 back-to-backs: three home-home, six away-away, four home-away and three away-home. Last year the Wolves had 19 back-to-back sets.

The Wolves will open their regular-season slate versus Oklahoma City on Monday, Dec. 26 at Target Center, marking the 11th straight season the club has opened at home. The Wolves are 13-9 in season openers, including 11-3 in season openers at home. Minnesota opened the 2010-11 campaign with a 117-116 loss to the Sacramento Kings at Target Center.

The Wolves will play 48 games against Western Conference and 18 games versus Eastern Conference opponents.

The Wolves will not play Atlanta, Milwaukee, New Jersey, Orlando, Toronto and Washington at home; and will not make trips to Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, New York and Philadelphia.
