The Minnesota Timberwolves and U.S. Bank will unveil a newly refurbished court at Madsen Park in Fridley on Thursday, September 19th. Timberwolves rookie Jarrett Culver will be on hand for the celebration. The event will include remarks from Culver, as well as Fridley Mayor Scott Lund, Timberwolves and Lynx Vice President of Social Responsibility Jennifer Ridgeway and U.S. Bank New Brighton Branch Manager, Chris Ledbeter.
Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, the Timberwolves & Lynx Basketball Academy along with Culver will spend time breaking in the new court with local area youth.
The court received a refurbishment as part of the Timberwolves “Our Courts. Our Future.” program presented by U.S. Bank. Over the summer the Timberwolves have refurbished four courts as part of this program. Read more about the program and see the winning courts here: www.timberwolves.com/ourcourts.
