PRIOR LAKE MARCH 17, 2015 ­ In the era of bobby socks and poodle skirts, the most popular teen idols were Frankie Avalon, Fabian Forte and Bobby Rydell. The teen heartthrobs from South Philly, known as the Golden Boys, will take the stage at the Mystic Showroom on Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m.

Frankie Avalons first song DeDe Dinah became a smash hit and his recording of Venus was one of the biggest selling hits of the era. His follow-up hits include Bobby Sox to Stockings, Just Ask Your Heart and A Boy Without a Girl.

Fabian Forte produced dozens of hit singles, eight albums, earned gold records for Turn Me Loose and the million-selling single, Tiger. He enjoyed success with hits Hound Dog Man, The Fabulous Fabian and Im A Man.

Making his debut on the Red Skelton Show and American Bandstand, Bobby Rydell rose to the top of the charts with Volare, Wild One and We Got Love. His recording career earned him 34 Top 40 records with hits such as Swinging School, Kissin Time and Forget Him.
