THREE RIVERS PARK DISTRICT
SNOWMOBILE TRAILER PARKING FEES
Three Rivers Park District will now require a parking permit for snowmobile trailer parking in designated snowmobile trailer parking areas. A daily permit will cost $5 and a season pass will cost $35. Daily fees can be paid on-site via drop box and season passes can be purchased online at ThreeRiversParks.org.
The permit, which is similar to the boat trailer parking permit that is required of boaters in the summer, will allow snowmobilers to park at four designated parking areas. They are:
- the Elm Creek horse trailhead located on County Road 121;
- the Elm Creek Chipmunk picnic site parking lot;
- the Crow-Hassan off-leash area parking lot on County Road 116; and
- the Baker boat trailer parking lot on Lake Independence.
Snowmobiling is permitted within Three Rivers Park District in order to provide links in state Grant-in-Aid snowmobile trails within Baker, Carver, Crow-Hassan, Elm Creek, Lake Rebecca and Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserves, as well as Cleary Lake, Spring Lake and Lake Minnetonka Regional Parks.
