Thousands of holiday letters to be signed at Mall of America® and sent to veterans and soldiers at home and abroad
WHAT:
Thousands of holiday letters will be written and signed by Mall of America® guests on Sunday, Nov. 10 in honor of Veterans Day. The American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program will mail the letters of thanks and encouragement to U.S. armed forces, veterans and military families, both home and abroad.
Supported by the American Red Cross, the Holiday Mail for Heroes program enables Mall guests to Give Something that Means Something.
In addition to the Holiday Mail for Heroes, the Memorial Pond (located in Nordstrom Court) will be filled with 500 red gerbera daisies. Mall guests can purchase a flower for $1 to float in the pond in memory of a loved one.
To honor those who have served our country, Mall of America donated 1,500 Nickelodeon Universe wristbands for military members, veterans and their families to enjoy a day of rides together on Sunday, Nov. 10.
