PRIOR LAKE – JULY 5, 2016 – Rib, art and music lovers won’t want to miss all the fun when The Great Midwest Rib Fest returns to Mystic Lake July 22 through 24. The outdoor festival will feature some of the nation’s best rib cookers, The Great Midwest Art Fest and free concerts—all part of Hot Summer Fun at Mystic Lake.
The event runs Friday, July 22 from 5 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, July 23 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to all ages.
The Great Midwest Rib Fest will feature ten rib cookers competing for thousands in cash prizes and bragging rights for winning this esteemed event. Professional culinary and media personalities will be judging the same ribs that are served to the public. Attendees will also be able to vote for their favorite ribs and sauce by casting a ballot for the Best of the Fest people’s choice award.
Art enthusiasts will enjoy The Great Midwest Art Fest, featuring artists specializing in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, photography, watercolors and wood.
Music lovers will want to mark their calendars for free concerts by local and national acts. Headliners on the iHeartMedia stage are Diamond Rio on Friday night, Survivor on Saturday night and Arch Allies on Sunday afternoon.

LOCATION: The festival will take place outside Mystic Lake in the parking area off Mystic Lake Blvd. near Dakotah Meadows RV Park and the hotel entrance.
DETAILS: This free festival is open to all ages. Additional vendors will serve sides, desserts and drinks. Guests must be 18 to gamble and 21 to purchase or consume alcohol.
