A Twizzard, Concert and Mall Hops, oh my!
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (Nov. 18, 2014) Guests shopping at Mall of America® on Thanksgiving evening and Black Friday will witness more than great deals. Taking guest experience to the next level, here is what is in store at Mall of America Thursday, Nov. 27 Sunday, Nov. 30:
Walk to End Hunger
Thursday, Nov. 27
7 a.m.
West Market Square and Rotunda
- Hundreds of people gather at Mall of America Thanksgiving morning to give back before giving thanks.
- The 7th Annual Walk to End Hunger helps raise awareness of and financial support for hunger issues facing Twin Cities metro area residents.
- The 2014 goal is to raise more than $365,000 to help end hunger throughout the Twin Cities metro area.
Ride for a Cause in Nickelodeon Universe
Thursday, Nov. 27
6 p.m. Midnight
- Guests can enjoy $10 unlimited ride wristbands from 6 p.m. midnight.
- All sales will benefit Folds of Honor, a non-profit providing annual educational scholarships to military families of those who have been killed or disabled while in active duty.
Twizzard

Mall Hours
Rotunda
- Experience the first ever, indoor Tweet-activated blizzard in the Rotunda at Mall of America.
- People from all over the world will control the weather inside Mall of America by tweeting a specific hashtag to create a snowstorm in the Rotunda.
Rixton performance and signing

- Well-known for their single Me and My Broken Heart, British pop/rock/R&B band, Rixton, will ring in the holidays with a performance and autograph signing.

- For the seventh consecutive year, Mall of America will provide two free wristbands to Nickelodeon Universe for every $250 spent within the Mall between Nov. 21 and Dec. 24.
Mall Hops, Holley Jolley Trolley, and Enhanced Service Portal
Through Tuesday, Dec. 24 (ESP is ongoing)
Mall Hours
- Shopping at Mall of America is easier than ever with the addition of Mall Hops, the Holley Jolley Trolley, and the Enhanced Service Portal.
- Mall Hops:
- Not bell hops, but Mall Hops, will be dressed in holiday-themed attire and will be available to assist guests with everything from answering questions, to carrying bags, to offering up anything they might need to make their holiday shopping excursion easier and better.
- Mall Hops:
- Holley Jolley Trolley:
- Parking at Mall of America has never been easier. A holiday-themed trolley will offer rides to guests who park in the north parking lot near IKEA. The heated trolley will drop them off at the northeast Sears entrance.
- Enhanced Service Portal (ESP):
- Designed to improve both the digital and physical shopping experiences of guests, the ESP has a team answering guest questions and participating in online conversations seven days a week, 24 hours a day. During the Holidays, ESP becomes a go-to resource for guests who might need to know where to find that perfect sweater for a gift, where a particular store is located or where they parked.
