Target Center
Achieves Highest Worldwide Ranking Ever
January 26, 2015 (Minneapolis, MN) AEG Facilities managed Target Center, ranks as the #1 arena in the Twin Cities, #6 in the United States and #17 worldwide based on the number of event tickets sold in 2014, according to Pollstar, the leading concert trade publication. Owned by the City of Minneapolis and located in Downtown Minneapolis Warehouse District, the arena closed out 2014 with its highest ranking ever on the Pollstar year-end charts, proving that it is not only the best venue in the Twin Cities, but one of the best in the world.
There is no doubt that our location in the heart of the Warehouse District provides the best experience for artists and fans! 2014 was an extraordinary year with some incredible milestones and this once again proves that Target Center is the #1 arena in the region and we look forward to continuing the success in 2015, said Steve Mattson, Vice President-General Manager, Target Center-AEG Facilities.
Target Center is such a vibrant part of our downtown, said Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges. We are lucky to have a world-class venue which contributes so much to our economy. Residents and visitors alike are treated to great entertainment, in addition to the overall experience that downtown Minneapolis has to offer.
Target Center is an important member of our community, added Warehouse District Business Association Director, Joanne Kaufman. It comes as no surprise to us that they are ranked so highly! We are thrilled they are getting the recognition they so richly deserve. We look forward to their continued success!
