Speed Volunteering for United Way Action Day at Mall of America®
WHAT: The third annual United Way Action Day speed volunteering will return to Mall of America® on August 14. Local companies such as Carlson, Land OLakes and Wells Fargo will send representatives to compete in 30-minute speed volunteering activities, benefiting local United Way charities.
Additional volunteering stations will be available to the public, such as assembling education and basic need kits, bookmarks, flashcards and blankets.
Between activities, participants can snap a photo in the LIVE UNITED photo booth. Participants who tweet their photos using the hashtags #UWActionDay and #moacares will garner $1 per tweet, donated by Mall of America.
Greater Twin Cities United Way collaborates with business, government and nonprofit organizations to build pathways out of poverty, helping children succeed, to stabilize families and empower healthy lives.
