MINNEAPOLISHennepin Theatre Trust announced today that individual tickets for Disneys Beauty and the Beast, the classic musical love story running at Hennepin Theatre Trusts Orpheum Theatre October 16-21, 2012, will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012. From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., tickets will only be available in person at the State Theatre Box Office. Beginning at 10 a.m., tickets will also be sold online through HennepinTheatreTrust.org, by calling 1.800.982.2787 or visiting a Ticketmaster Ticket Center. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature film, Beauty and the Beast originated its national tour at the historic Orpheum Theatre in 1995. This all-new production is filled with unforgettable characters, lavish sets and costumes and dazzling production numbers including Be Our Guest and the beloved title song. Beauty and the Beast is part of the 2012/13 Broadway Across America-Minneapolis Season.

Disneys Beauty and the Beast is the story of Belle, a young woman from a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell by an enchantress. It features the animated films Academy Award-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice.
