RUNNING DEAD 5K WEAVES THROUGH THE TRAIL OF TERROR
SHAKOPEE, Minn., (Oct. 13, 2014) All guests, ghost and ghouls are welcome and encouraged to compete in Trail of Terrors Running Dead 5k Race. Clear your calendars for Saturday, October 18 for another year of zombie frights in this family fun event!
Runners follow a path through the woods of terror, evading Zombies placed throughout the course to make it to the finish. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m. and the first race wave will start at 5:00 p.m. Racing through the woodlands, the route will be approximately 5 kilometers, or around 2.5 miles, in length. Participants are encouraged to complete the course at their own speed and walking the course is allowed. Prizes will be awarded for mens and womens 1st place finishers, as well as for Best Individual, Group and Zombie Costumes. With their race registration, all participants receive admission to the Trail of Terror, a free Woodchuck hard cider and a t-shirt.
The dead and the living are all invited to attend the Zombie Bash After Party following the 5k race. Participants can pick up their free beverage or soda in Club Scream, the heated indoor tent where the party will be held, as well as watch the prize ceremony. All party attendees will be first in line for the ¾ mile heated indoor maze!
Trail of Terror is entering its 21st season of frights and delights starting October 10 through November 1, 2014. Trail of Terror is open Friday and Saturday from 7:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., rain or shine. Located seven miles south of Shakopee on Hwy 169.
