Red Stag Supperclub and The Growler present In Cahoots! A Collaboration of Craft
The Red Stag Supperclub & The Growler are proud to bring you Minneapolis's First Collaboration Festival, In Cahoots! 8 Minnesota breweries formed 4 teams to create 4 new collaboration beers that will debut at this year's block party. You vote on the best brew! A portion of the event proceeds will be given to the winning team's local charity! The free event will be held outside at the Red Stag on Sunday, August 3, from 2pm-8pm, rain or shine.
FairVote MN has teamed up to allow attendees to vote for their favorite beer using Ranked Choice Voting, the wildly popular and successful election reform already used by Minneapolis and Saint Paul for municipal elections. Instead of choosing only one candidate or in this case, beer Ranked Choice VotinRg allows voters to rank their choices in order of preference, ensuring that voters true beliefs are accurately represented.
In Cahoots is a wonderful opportunity to have fun while also demonstrating the power of Ranked Choice Voting, said Jeanne Massey, FairVote Minnesota Executive Director. This is another example of the momentum were seeing statewide around Ranked Choice Voting, and were thrilled by this unique opportunity to give even more voters the chance to experience RCV for themselves!
Polling after the Minneapolis Mayor Election in 2013 showed that voters overwhelmingly approved the election reform. Nearly 70 percent of Minneapolis voters said theyd like to continue to using RCV in municipal elections and more than 60 percent want to see RCV implemented in our state elections.
