RADISSON RED MINNEAPOLIS CELEBRATES APRIL FOOL’S DAY BY BECOMING A PET ONLY HOTEL
MINNEAPOLIS (March 29, 2017) — Radisson RED Minneapolis is getting in the spirit of April Fool’s Day by announcing its pilot test to become a pet only hotel throughout the month of April. The hotel jokingly plans to take its pet friendly policy to the extreme by making a splash on social media with the big news on April 1st.
Since the hotel’s opening in November, an extremely high number of guests have checked into the hotel with their pets and on April Fool’s day the hotel will recognize that sometimes our four-legged friends and their owners need a break from each other. The hoax will state that pets will be able to check-in with their owners as they normally do at Radisson RED and after that owners are free to leave. A blog post by the brand includes: “If the initiative continues its success, the hotel brand is considering introducing more pet related services including dog bone vending machines, a grooming salon and creatively placed fire hydrants for pets to take care of their business.”
Of course, this is all fun and games and the hotel will announce on April 2nd that this initiative is only a joke. On the bright side, Radisson RED Minneapolis is a pet friendly hotel and does take welcoming pets very seriously. Pets accompanied by their owner receive a RED bandana, a Fatboy Doggie Lounge Bed and a food and water dish to use in the room upon arrival. Guests are asked to sign a pet policy agreement. Regular room rates apply and there are two pets per room maximum.
