PHANTOMS FEAST: DARK CARNIVAL HAUNTS TRIAL OF TERROR
SHAKOPEE, Minn., (Oct. 16, 2014) This Halloween, enjoy dinner and spine-tingling entertainment during the Phantoms Feast at the Minnesota Trail of Terror, serving on select dates October 17 through November 1. Join Cunningham and his one-man show Dark Carnival as you journey through the dark, twisted places of the Feast Masters mind and experience the strange and frightening things that have fascinated him since childhood!
The menu will consist of a Harvest Feast featuring seasonal ingredients and recipes to satisfy your cravings on a fall night. From the top, guests will dine on an appetizer of Glazed Meatballs and Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip, proceeding to a Sweet Corn Chowder. The main course consists of Wild Rice Stuffed Chicken Breast, topped with a Wild Mushroom Gravy and Roasted Fall Vegetables. And for desert, enjoy a slice of Sweet Potato, Maple Glazed Cheesecake. Hot Mulled Apple Cider flows throughout the evening to finish off a menu perfect for the month of October.
Patrons are sure to be sitting on the edge of their chairs as the Feast Master tries to make contact with the many spirits that inhabit Bad Manor, discovered by the Paranormal Investigation Unit last year. Using an Ouija Board, Spirit Slates and Spirit Bell, the whole room is charged with the energy of the various ghosts, just waiting to tell their stories. Concluding in a Séance, audience participation may even be required for full effect! It is sure to be an evening full of magic and mystery and even dark humor that will both terrify and delight you!
For those who attend our 8:00 p.m. Phantom Feasts on October 18 and 25, guests have a special opportunity to participate in a Ghost Hunt lead by paranormal investigator and researcher Rocci Stucci as he makes contact with the spirit realm and the ghosts of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival grounds. Winners for this exclusive experience will be drawn during the shows.
Jim Cunningham is a long-time Feast Master of the Feast of Fantasy at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Jim has been a Twin Cities actor for 25 years, doing improve at the Resident Improv Comedy at Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop and comedy acts in a number of well-known plays. Jim is seen every summer in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) and in December in Its a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. Jim was the original Tony in the Minneapolis hit show Tony and Tinas Wedding and for many years he terrified guests in Hauntings or Do you Believe in Ghosts? He is currently the Minister of Fun for both the Minnesota Twins and Wild. He has been with the Festival since 1982 and began as a Feast Master in 1990.
Phantoms Feast runs October 17 through November 1 on select days. Friday and Saturday shows are $65 per person and Sunday shows are $55 per person. Each Feast ticket also includes admission to Trail of Terror and a commemorative gift! With only 7 shows, tickets are limited so patrons should reserve seats early. Trail of Terror is entering its 21st season of frights and delights starting October 10 through November 1, 2014.
