A Passage to China returns for
eighth annual festival at Mall of America®
WHAT: This year the Chinese Heritage Foundation will celebrate its eighth annual festival, A Passage to China, at Mall of America® Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15. The free event features family-oriented activities showcasing different aspects of Chinese culture, history and geography.
Activities include Chinese calligraphy, fortune telling, Mandarin language lessons, paper cutting, face painting of Chinese opera masks and other Chinese arts and crafts. Attendees can make their own porcelain medallions, Terra Cotta warrior heads and Chinese prints.
Guests can enjoy authentic Chinese music and dance performances, as well as martial arts, located on the Sears Court stage. Each visitor will be issued a passport to receive stamps at each activity they visit. Those who have collected enough stamps during the event will receive a prize.

The Chinese Heritage Foundation is part of a collection of charitable funds at The Minneapolis Foundation, and is devoted to preserving and promoting the understanding of Chinese history, culture and heritage among all Minnesotans.
