The exhibit is the culmination of a 12-week MNHS internship program where high school students can learn digital photography skills and investigate historical and contemporary representations of Native people. The five teen artists represent a variety of Native communities from Prairie Island to Red Lake to the Rosebud reservation in South Dakota.
A partnership between the Minnesota Historical Society and Two Rivers Gallery in Minneapolis, this year marks the seventh year of the Mazinaakizige internship program.
The exhibit is free and open to the public in the Irvine Gallery from June 1-Sept. 8, 2019 during regular Minnesota History Center hours.
