MN Wild Foundation's Board of Directors additions
MINNESOTA WILD FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES
NEW ADDITIONS TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Wild Foundation today announced that Crystal Boudreau and Christopher Leipold will join the foundation's board of directors effective immediately.
Boudreau, the wife of Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau, has had a passion for serving her community since her youth. Most recently, she participated with foundation efforts for the Washington Capitals and Anaheim Ducks, lending her time and resources to raise funds for community organizations. The Boudreaus have annually hosted golf tournaments and dinners to support area nonprofits.
"Bruce and I truly feel that giving your time is just as important as donating items and funds," said Crystal Boudreau. "I'm honored to join the Wild Foundation's board and excited for the opportunity to help make a positive impact on the State of Hockey."
Leipold, eldest son of Wild owner and Chairman Craig Leipold, has experience in corporate partnerships, promotions, community relations and customer service with professional sports organizations like the National Basketball Association's Charlotte Hornets, the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators and most recently, the Minnesota Wild. He's currently involved with Wishes & More, a non-profit which grants heart-felt wishes to children from birth to age 19 with terminal and life-threatening conditions.
"I'm very pleased to be joining the Wild Foundation board and to have the chance to be part of an organization that supports families in Minnesota in so many ways and is passionate about growing the game of hockey," said Christopher Leipold.
With these appointments, the Minnesota Wild Foundation board of director's membership now includes: Chair Pamela Wheelock, Vice Chair Ann Mulholland, Wild Director of Player Development Brad Bombardir, Crystal Boudreau, Rhonda Fletcher, Wild Assistant Coach Darby Hendrickson, Christopher Leipold, Wild owner and Chairman Craig Leipold, Jay Lund, Steve McDaniels, Bennett Morgan, Secretary Dan Scott, and Scott Peterson.
The Minnesota Wild Foundation exists to support the game of hockey and improve the lives of families in the State of Hockey. Since its inception in 2000, the Minnesota Wild has invested more than $14 million dollars back into the community through donations and service. With help from Wild players, the Minnesota Wild Foundation supports pediatric medical causes, serves as the largest non-member funding source for Minnesota Hockey, and provides fundraising opportunities for youth hockey associations across the state.
