MINNESOTA WILD ANNOUNCES NEW SECURITY MEASURES AT XCEL ENERGY CENTER FOR 2018-19 SEASON
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild
today announced new security measures for home games at Xcel Energy Center this season to provide a safe environment for the public and expedite fan entry into the arena. The new security measures will go into effect starting Sept. 20 when the Wild hosts the Dallas Stars in a preseason game.
The Minnesota Wild will limit the size and type of bags being brought into the arena this season. Fans are encouraged to leave non-essential items at home. Fans will be able to carry into the arena the following style and size bag:
- Clear tote (plastic, vinyl or PVC) that does not exceed 12" x 6" x 12" or a plastic storage bag that is a maximum one gallon, re-sealable and clear
- Small bags, such as a small clutch purse, that is approximately the size of a hand with or without a handle or strap will be allowed, must not exceed 4.5" x 6.5"
The team is also launching a new Text-to-Assist Program this season. Wild fans can access the Guest Experience Team quickly by sending a text to 69050 (include WILD at the start of your message). All guests will be able to use this service for any game-related questions. Fans may also use the Text-to-Assist procedure if they notice anything around the arena that needs attention. A member of the Guest Experience Team will respond quickly to ensure a world-class experience for all of our Wild fans.
