FastBreak Foundation to donate $10,000 for a basketball court renovation for one deserving organization
Minneapolis/St. Paul Does your organization's basketball court need a makeover? The Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation is on the hunt for its next basketball court renovation location, and has announced a contest to choose one lucky non-profit organization to receive this donation. Describe why your school, recreation center, community center, etc., is deserving and your organization may receive a $10,000 basketball court transformation. Nominations will be accepted from August 23 through September 21.
The Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation Court Renovation Contest is open to organizations that serve Minnesota youth and are located within a 50-mile radius of Target Center.
To enter, eligible participants can go to www.timberwolves.com/community and click on the "Court Renovation Contest" icon and fill out the entry form in its entirety. The entry form should include two essays providing details on the participating organization and how the organization would utilize the renovated basketball court. Essays should be no longer than 500 words. Participants are also required to submit two photos of their court by email to fastbreakfoundation@timberwolves.com.
At the end of the nomination period, all eligible entries will be judged by a panel of representatives of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The criteria used in the judging process will include, but is not limited to, creativity, content and overall impression. The entry selected will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner will be notified on or about the week of September 24, 2012, with the renovation to take place in October.
The Court Renovation Contest is part of the FastBreak Foundation's month-long initiative for October, "New Season, New Beginnings," in which the team works to create renewed spaces, energy and attitudes for learning and community development.
